What is the difference between being active and exercising?

The difference between being active and exercising is that being active relates to everyday activities that are part of what you do habitually – like gardening, household jobs, shopping, etc. If you have an active job rather than a desk job that is an added bonus.

Exercise is more structured and involves a set time or place and a programme to track progress. Exercise is something done over-and-above your everday activities.

Don’t let the difference between being active and exercising throw you off track. Some days it is tough to stick to your exercise routine, and replacing it with the every day activities will still benefit you.
