what is a webinar?
Short for Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web using video conferencing software. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements: the ability to give, receive and discuss information in real-time.
How do I access a webinar?
We will advertise the next one by email, on Facebook and on our website and you can register that way.
Do I need a webcam or a microphone to participate?
No you don’t need a mic or camera.
Do I need to download or buy software?
No, access to the webinar is free. All you need to do is click on the link on your laptop or use the GoToMeeting App on your tablet or iPad to gain access.
How do I ask questions
You can type in your questions using the messaging function of the programme. Only the speakers and panel can see your questions – not the other webinar attendees.
Can anybody else see me?
No, the speakers and other participants can’t see you.
If I miss the webinar, can I watch it afterwards?
Yes, a recording of the webinar will be made available on the Arthritis New Zealand website.
Are there going to be more webinars in the future?
We aim to host several webinars per year.
