Giving through your pay
What is payroll giving?
Payroll giving is the process of making regular donations to Arthritis New Zealand through your employer’s payroll system. You decide how much you want to give and this amount is deducted from your before-tax salary or wages each payday.
What are the benefits?
- simple and easy to set up – you don’t need to arrange an automatic payment.
- flexible – you choose exactly how much you want to give.
- tax credits – because your donation is made before tax, you get immediate tax credits on your PAYE. This means a $30 donation only costs you $20 and you don’t have to wait until the end of the year to claim your tax credit.
How do I get started?
Go into your payroll system and nominate Arthritis New Zealand as your charity of choice for payroll giving. You’ll need these details:
Organisation: Arthritis New Zealand
Postal address: PO Box 10020, The Terrace, Wellington 6143
Registered charity: #CC55546
Giving for good
The Good Registry encourages people to make gifts to good causes instead of buying birthday, wedding or Christmas presents. If you already have everything you need, it helps your friends and family give to a cause that matters to you. And it helps Arthritis New Zealand as the recipients of all that goodwill!
You can buy a gift card for someone else, or create your own gift registry and invite friends and family to donate. Find out more at www.thegoodregistry.com
