Painaway Possum Back Belt

The Painaway Possum Fur Belt for lower back pain was invented by Wanganui farmer Colin Cox and now has hundreds of users throughout New Zealand and overseas. The photo shows the extent of fur coverage across the lower back, but the belt is worn the other way around – with the fur against the skin. 10% SuperGold discount applies and a percentage of sales is donated to Arthritis New Zealand.

The Painaway Possum Fur Pain Relief belt came about as the result of an accidental discovery by Wanganui farmer Colin Cox upon learning that possum fur was hollow. Only two other animals in the world have hollow fur – the Polar bear and the Arctic fox.

The fur traps heat and thus keeps a wearer’s back constantly warm. An early client was Mahe Drysdale who, suffering from osteoarthritis, saw his Olympic ambitions going down the gurgler, having tried everything to ease his pain. Upon using the belt his pain was substantially reduced. He started training again and 12 months later won Olympic Gold.

He has now worn the belt every day for the last 8 years. For other stories like Mahe’s go to our website or call us on 0800 115 241 or 027 471 2242 for a free brochure.
