Being diagnosed with arthritis can be a confusing experience. It is quite normal to feel relief, worry, anger, anxiety or confusion.
Diagnosis is not usually the start, or the end, of your life with arthritis. There are many things you can do to help yourself live well with your arthritis condition.
Many people newly diagnosed with arthritis have asked to talk with someone who has lived with arthritis for a number of years. Arthritis New Zealand has a team of volunteers who are trained to provide phone-based support. Email us or call 0800 663 463 and we will arrange for a volunteer to call you at a mutually convenient time.
If you have questions about your diagnosis or treatment call our Arthritis Educators.
Information about your arthritis can be found here: Forms of Arthritis New Zealand
