Philip Kearney
Chief Executive
Philip hails from the UK but considers New Zealand home, having emigrated with his family when he was a boy. Previous roles include Director of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Otago, General Manager Education at the Charities Commission and Chief Executive at Sport Whanganui. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration. Philip is married to Lesley and they have a daughter. He is an avid sports fan, especially golf, cricket and rugby and is also keen on DIY.

Francesca Holloway
Awareness and Advocacy Manager
Francesca has worked for many years in the non-profit sector as a manager and a volunteer, with a particular interest in advocacy. She has a teaching background and held roles in Presbyterian Support, The Deaf Association and Heart Children. She also served on the board of the YWCA, helped establish Habitat for Humanity in Dunedin and was active in a number of womenâs organisations. Francesca currently sits on the Consumer Advisory Committee of PHARMAC.

Daleâs personal goal is to achieve âWhanau Oranga â Health and Wellbeingâ, to lead by example and empower those around her to make informed choices for the betterment of all people. Dale has worked across Te Whanau o Waipareira as Director of Education, Manager Personal, Public and Mental Health, ProCare Health as Maori & Community Health Manager, Waitemata & Auckland DHBs as Project Manager Maori Health Gain. Dale has a fascination for travel, continuing education in research and MÄori business development.Â

Fiona Smith
Funding Manager
Fiona joined Arthritis New Zealand in June 2021 and is based in the Wellington office. She has worked the majority of her career as a professional fundraiser, both in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She has worked for a wide variety of not-for-profit organisations, most recently Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA). Fiona is Deputy Chair of Volunteer Wellington.
