Consultation Letter

At the AGM in November 2017 a remit was approved to change the governance structure of Arthritis New Zealand from an Incorporated Society to a Charitable Trust.

In order to enhance this transition the Governing Body is consulting a wide range of stakeholders who support Arthritis New Zealand’s mission of “improving the life of every person affected by arthritis”. As part of this change, the Governing Body is seeking feedback on the proposed Deed of Trust.

The proposed document has been drawn up based on the principles of the previous constitution.

This invitation is open to all those who support Arthritis New Zealand. Please feel free to distribute this draft Deed of Trust document and invite anyone who may be interested in providing feedback.

Once the feedback has been received and collated, it will be considered by the Governing Body taskforce, who will be implementing the change for the transition. We will regularly update those who provide feedback on the progress of this transition.
