Marama Davidson (Green Party Co-leader) and David Seymour (ACT Party Leader) both care about people with arthritis and decided to help us raise awareness by taking part in our arthritis challenge – and we need you to do the same!

Watch their attempts:

If you aren’t one of the more than 700,000 people living with arthritis, we challenge you to put yourself in someone with arthritis’ shoes, by putting on your own shoes and attempting to tie your shoelaces without using your thumbs!

Sound simple? It may surprise you. And it may surprise others too, so we’d love you to film your first attempt – and subsequent attempts – post the results on social media… then challenge three friends or family to do the same.

Getting involved is easy. Simply:

  • Film your attempts
  • Say in your video that you’re taking part in the challenge to help raise awareness about arthritis, challenge friends and family to do the same, then tag us in your post – along with the hashtags #ArthritisChallenge
  • Enter your details here so we know you’ve taken part!

We can’t wait to see your posts!

Thank you for supporting New Zealanders living with arthritis, and helping Arthritis New Zealand provide life-changing services to anyone who needs them – both now and in the future.
