The three different talks covered Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout Arthritis and Osteoarthritis, respectively. The talks were based on Arthritis New Zealand’s Arthritis IQ online courses, which cover the causes of the forms of arthritis, treatments used for self-management and through health professionals, resources available from Arthritis New Zealand and practical tips for managing arthritis.

Each attendee was given resources to take home – at no cost. These included hand exercise balls, foot insoles, milk openers, an exercise book and other factsheets and brochures.

Attendees found all three sessions very informative and said they had learned a lot about arthritis. “It was great from start to finish!” and “excellent for those of us who have a recent diagnosis” were just two of the positive comments.
