Fractures are an increasing problem as we age. This webinar will consider the efficacy and safety of strategies for fracture prevention, how they should be targeted, and the long-term management of older patients at risk of fracture.
The webinar will be presented by Prof. Ian Reid, endocrinologist and Distinguished Professor at the University of Auckland. His research interests include calcium metabolism, vitamin D and osteoporosis. He is a past-president of the International Bone and Mineral Society (IBMS), and a recipient of research awards nationally and internationally, including the New Zealand Prime Minister’s Science Prize.
