Brought to you in conjunction with Central Pacific Collective.

Vaka voyaging is about navigating our way through ocean of life to reach our destination.

The voyaging spirit of Polynesian culture are embedded in the waka hourua (double hull canoes) that strengthen the crafting, lashing and weaving of its sails to bring life to the well-being of our people.

In 2009 John Misky joined the Polynesian Voyaging Society, which builds their own canoes, and completed a mammoth double-hull canoe adventure from Auckland to Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa, San Francisco and Mexico.

John will share his voyaging experiences with his Le Ta Va’a programme dedicated to building traditional Polynesian voyaging canoe and voyaging knowledge through leadership and resilience.

The talanoa/korere will weave traditional concept to better self-managed gout/arthritis for Maori & Pacific men.

Kai/ Food refreshment will be served.
