| Topp Twins in Seniors Variety Concert |

This year, Christchurch's 50's Up Brass Band's 15th Annual Senior Citizens Variety Concert with feature the Topp Twins. Their comedy acts and musical routines are in great demand throughout Australasia and beyond. Bookings are already open and tickets are selling fast. $19 is a nominal ticket price to pay for such high-class entertainment. The concert will be held in the Christchurch Town Hall Auditorium on Wednesday 22nd July at 2pm. Television personality, Rob Cope-Williams, is the celebrity compere.The concert will also feature two talented young musicians. Bradley Wood is already an accomplished pianist and Cameron Luxton a talented singer and guitarist. The 50's Up Brass Band will play a range of popular numbers and enduring favourites as well as a sing-a-long bracket for the audience to indulge in. The Variety Concert is a popular event, which has attracted a near capacity audience in recent years. This year's programme has been tailored to appeal to younger age groups as well. Anyone who enjoys a sing-a-long, country and western or the classic kiwi characters, played by the Topp Twins, will enjoy this two hour long action-packed concert. The 50's Up Brass Band has been playing music for many years and enjoys providing entertainment for several Christchurch retirement homes and senior citizen clubs. It also performs public concerts in rural centres throughout Canterbury. The highlight of its year is the annual Senior Citizens Variety Concert in the Town Hall Auditorium. Proceeds from this concert are donated to Arthritis New Zealand for arthritis education within the Canterbury Province. During the past three years it has received $22,000.
