Taranaki Educational Grant/Scholarship Print

An educational grant / scholarship fund is now available to eligable young person's throughout the Taranaki region.

Grants and scholarships will be considered by students attending secondary/tertiary institutions, with individual grants being a maximum of $2,000.00 per annum.

Conditions of Application:

  • To be eligable students must have confirmation regarding one of the various forms of arthritis.
  • A scholarship will be considered from those applying for assistance while attending full-time tertiary institutions or whilst in year 13.
  • Other students may apply when attending a special course or special needs programme of benefit to the student.
  • Educational grants may be distributed annually to eligable students up to the amount of $1,000.00 per annum.
  • Each recipient may be requested to make a public appearance as an Ambassador for Arthritis New Zealand as arranged with the Midland / Central Regional Manager, in the year that they receive the funds.
  • More than one scholarship may be granted.

Applicants must apply in writing to the Midland/Central Regional Manager, Midland/Central Region, PO Box 39-247, Wellington Mail Centre, Lower Hutt, 5045.

Applications close 3rd April 2009.
